Rhopressa

Rhopressa (netarsudil) is a topical ophthalmic solution indicated for the reduction of intraocular pressure (IOP) in patients with open-angle glaucoma or ocular hypertension. It is specifically designed to lower IOP by targeting multiple mechanisms involved in aqueous humor outflow, thereby helping to prevent vision loss associated with glaucoma.

Comprehensive Drug Guide

How Does Rhopressa Work?

Netarsudil, the active ingredient in Rhopressa, works by inhibiting the Rho kinase enzyme, which plays a role in regulating the actin cytoskeleton in trabecular meshwork cells. This inhibition enhances aqueous humor outflow through the trabecular meshwork, leading to a reduction in IOP. Additionally, netarsudil may also decrease aqueous humor production.
